The playtest begins May 9 at 9:00 AM PDT and runs until May 12 at 5:00 PM PDT. Servers will be available during the entire playtest.

You can sign up for the Community Preview playtest on your Xbox Series X|S console. Simply launch the Xbox Insider Hub app and navigate to Previews. Click on Wildgate and select join. Once your registration is complete, you’ve secured your spot for the playtest!

Steam: You can invite 3 friends via the Steam Friend Invite feature. This can be found on the Wildgate Community Preview Library Page or under Home > Account > Gated Access Games or by clicking this link.

Important note: This Steam feature will only allow you to invite friends you have been friends with for at least 30 days.

Console: If you claimed a key via FirstLook.You can invite up to 3 friends via your FirstLook Dashboard on wildgate.gg/playtest Unfortunately Xbox Insiders will not be able to invite additional friends.

Note: Friend Invites may be disabled during the playtest based on server capacity.

Yes! You can play on the same platform you played on during our playtest in April. You won't require a new key but you will be required to update the app prior to playing.

No. Our Community Preview will be limited in size, so there is a chance you may not be selected.

You will receive an email from FirstLook.gg — which is the official platform we use to manage playest sign-ups, invites, and key distribution.

Wildgate's primary mode is multiplayer only.

For new players, there is a Tutorial and Firing Range mode where you can learn the game (found under the "Learn to Play" button).

There is also a Practice vs. AI mode. This requires at least two players, either as a party or via matchmaking, but it's recommended to play as a crew of 4 players.

Yes! However, Wildgate is still a work in progress. We are continuing to develop features, refine systems, improve performance, and fix bugs leading up to the game's release later this year.
